Tutorial Level: Intermediate In this tutorial, you will learn how to submit HyperStudy jobs
to Altair One HPC.
Before you begin, copy the model files used in this tutorial
from <hst.zip>/HS-1652/ to your working directory and make sure
that Altair One extension is active and displayed in the
GUI.Figure 1.
Another important step is mounting Altair One
drive. Make sure that Altair One Drive is installed and
it is connected to an appropriate profile.Figure 2.
Load HyperStudy Archive
Start HyperStudy.
Load the archive in the tutorial directory.
From the menu bar, click File > Open.
On the ribbon, click .
Select HS-1652.hstx.
Create a DOE Approach
Add a DOE.
In the Study Explorer, right-click and select
Add from the context menu.
The Add dialog opens.
From Select Type, choose
DOE.
For Definition from, select an approach.
Select Setup and click OK.
Go to the DOE > Specifications step.
In the work area, set the Mode to Sobol
Sequence and set Number of Runs to
8.
Click Apply.
Perform Solver Mapping
This step is not required as HyperStudy automatically
matches the solver versions. However, this option provides mapping local solver
version to the one in the Altair One system if a
specific version of a solver is needed.
Register a solver.
Figure 3.
Under the Altair One ribbon, click
Register Solvers and apply the appropriate
solver version of Altair One side (OptiStruct is the solver type in this
tutorial).
Click Save.
Figure 4.
Submit the Study to Altair One
Run the study.
Under the Altair One ribbon, click Run
Study.
Figure 5.
Under Run selected Approach option, select
DOE 1.
Note: A study can be submitted with a single
approach or multiple approaches if the batch tasks function is
active.
Select the appropriate appliance and then click Submit
Job.
This sends the HyperStudy DOE task to
Altair One HPC for evaluations.Figure 6.
Monitoring Job Status
Using the View Jobs tool, you can track the job status
including the entire set of child processes and load the evaluated study into the
local session for post-processing.Figure 7.
Click on Load Study and replace the existing study with
the evaluated one.
Note: The Load Study option will
load the study evaluated on Altair One into the
local HyperStudy session.

Go to the Post-Processing step and observe the
simulation data in the Summary table.
