Subcase Information Entry The INIPS command can be used in the Subcase Information section to define initial plastic strains of elements for nonlinear static analysis.

Set identification of an INIPS Bulk Data Entry.

Comments

  1. INIPS Bulk Data Entries are not used unless selected in the Subcase Information section.
  2. INIPS should only be selected by a nonlinear static subcase that is not continued from a preceding nonlinear subcase.
  3. Plastic strain outputs for elements take into account both the initial plastic strain and the contribution from the deformation with loading.
