Definitions
| Field | Contents | SI Unit Example |
|---|---|---|
| ACSID | Aerodynamic coordinate system identification. Default = 0 (Integer ≥ 0) | |
| RCSID | Reference coordinate system identification for rigid body
                                    motion. Default = 0 (Integer ≥ 0) | |
| REFC | Reference chord length. (Real > 0.0) | |
| REFB | Reference span. (Real > 0.0) | |
| REFS | Reference wing area. (Real > 0.0) | |
| SYMXZ | Symmetry key for the aero coordinate X-Z plane. If case
control entry AESYMXZ is specified, then
                                        this field is ignored.

| SYMXY | Symmetry key for the aero coordinate X-Y plane can be used to
simulate ground effects. If case control entry
AESYMXY is specified, then this field
                                        is ignored.

Comments
- This entry is mandatory for static aeroelasticity models. Only a single AEROS entry is allowed.
- The ACSID field should be a rectangular coordinate system. Flow is in the positive X-direction (T1).
- The RCSID field should be a rectangular coordinate system. All AESTAT degrees of freedom defining trim variables will be defined in this coordinate system. Additionally, the aerodynamic trim coefficients and monitor tables printed in the .trim file are computed based on RCSID.
- REFB should be full span, even on half-span models.
- REFS should be half area on half-span models.
