Shortest Distance Analysis

Analyze the shortest distance between the selected tool and its corresponding tool.

Open or create a model.
Right-click the tool you want to measure and select Geometric Analysis > Shortest Distance.
The distance between the selected tool and its mating tool is shown, where each color represents the shortest distance between them.
Tip: Measuring the shortest distance in the closed position allows you to see the gap between tools.

Tip: To add a callout, select the Callouts button in the guide panel and click a tool. To remove a callout, right-click the callout and select Delete.
Right-click the part and deselect Geometric Analysis > Shortest Distance or enter any other context to exit geometric analysis.
