Workflow for Constructing Periodic Structures
View the workflow for constructing periodic structures using a unit cell.
- Define the shape(s) that will be used in the unit cell construction.
- Define the unit cell and its layers.
- Auto-generate the geometry from the unit cell definition using the Build Geometry tool. The equivalent geometry is then available in the model tree.
- If periodic boundary conditions was not selected on the Build Geometry dialog, define the periodic boundary conditions for the unit cell.
- Add a transmission/reflection request.
