Concealing a Protected Component Using a Representation

Create a representation of the protected model to conceal the antenna's true visualisation.

Start by either opening a protected model and entering the password or have a protected model open.
Note: The protected model representation is created by moving geometry from the model to the representation. The representation is intended solely for visualisation purposes. It does not get meshed and does not form part of the simulation.
  1. Create geometry that will represent or outline the model but still conceal proprietary information.
Figure 1. As an example, on the left is a patch antenna and to the right, its representation geometry.

  2. In the model tree select the representation geometry.
  3. On the Protection tab, in the Representation group, click the  Move to Representation icon.
The representation geometry will now have moved to Unprotected Information in the model tree.
Figure 2. The representation geometry was moved to under Unprotected Information in the model tree.

Note: When a protected model with a defined representation is imported into another model, the representation will be displayed in the 3D view.

If a representation is not specified for a model, a grey bounding box is displayed by default.
