Follow these steps to test your diagram with an imported block:
1. Follow the steps above to generate a DLL and export it to Embed’s Imported Blocks menu.
2. Open the Embed diagram in which to insert the imported block.
3. From the Imported Blocks menu, click on the block category and insert the imported block you generated.
4. Wire the imported block into the Embed diagram.
5. To verify that the imported block is operating correctly, wire a plot or display block to the imported block and simulate the diagram. Signal values from the imported block are displayed in the plot or display block.
Once the diagram is verified, you can test it on any hardware supported by Embed. You will need Embed Pro or Embed Personal to convert the blocks to firmware to execute on an embedded target device.
