Target Category: STM32
Target Sub-Category: Capture
Description: The Event Capture block allows you to monitor an input pin (IC1, IC2, IC3, IC4) and capture time between transition events (rising edge, falling edge, or both) by sampling the current value of a timer on occurrence of the event. The Event Capture block counts from 0 to 65535 (hexadecimal 0xFFFF) and then wraps back. The Prescale parameter divides the timer by the given amount. The output of the Event Capture block can be period (timer count between initial edge and third edge) and duty (timer count between initial edge and second edge)
Edge Polarity: The choices are Rising, Falling, and Both (pin 1 and 2).
Input Chan: Selects the input pin to monitor.
Input Filter: Clocks count threshold before an edge is acknowledged
Mux Pin: Selects the capture input pin.
Prescale: Select from available fractional time rate multipliers to reduce the timer rate. Fractional rates of up to 1/128th the basic rate are possible.
Timer Unit: The available choices depend on the choice of the input pin. Only available timers on the current part will be shown in Unit dropdown.
