Software Requirements

Server software:

q  .NET framework 4.7.2 32/64-bit

q  SQL Server 2016/201/2019 (if the Monarch Server database is present on the local machine)

 

NOTE

You have the option to deploy SQL Server Express 2019 and SQL Server Management Studio 18 (64-bit installation only). SQL Server Express is only suitable for RMS or Automator; it is not viable for instances servicing Content Server functionality. If SQL Server is not installed on the Common Components server, then a basic installation of SQLClient and SQLCMD is required.

 

Operating systems:

q  Windows Server 2016 (IIS 10.0 v1709)

q  Windows Server 2019 (IIS 10.0 v1809) + Core Edition

 

Additional system software components:

The following components are installed automatically by the installation program if they are not present on the machine. You may consider installing them at the most convenient time (for example, a scheduled maintenance window) as the installation may require system reboots.

q  .NET framework 4.7.2

q  Microsoft Access 2013 Runtime

q  Microsoft SQL Command Line Utilities 11 for SQL Server (if the Monarch Server database is not present on the local machine)

q  Microsoft ODBC Driver 11 for SQL Server (if the Monarch Server database is not present on the local machine)

q  SQL 2017 Local DB

 

NOTE	You can download SQL 2017 Local DB 64-bit from https://download.microsoft.com/download/E/F/2/EF23C21D-7860-4F05-88CE-39AA114B014B/SqlLocalDB.msi.

 

Client software:

q  One of the following browsers:

·          Internet Explorer 11

·          Mozilla Firefox v95.x+

·          Google Chrome v96.x+

·          Microsoft Edge (Chromium Engine) v96.x +

NOTE	Compatibility of future browsers may require Monarch Server patches as a result of changes by browser vendors that compromise historic functionalities and behaviors.
