Address Block Definition Window
Use this window to specify properties for a new address block or to edit the properties of an existing one.
To access this window, select Address Blocks from the Table Design ribbon.
To display the properties of an existing address block, select it on the Address Blocks selector.

Name |
Enter the name you want to assign to the address block. |
USA ZIP and ZIP+4 |
Select to enable the address block to handle postal codes of the US. |
Canada |
Select to enable the address block to handle postal codes of Canada. |
Australia/New Zealand |
Select to enable the address block to handle postal codes of the Australia and New Zealand. |
UK |
Select to enable the address block to handle postal codes of the United Kingdom. |
Dublin, Ireland |
Select to enable the address block to handle postal codes of Dublin, Ireland. |
Continental Europe |
Select to enable the address block to handle postal codes of continental Europe. |
India |
Select to enable the address block to handle postal codes of India. |
Brazil |
Select to enable the address block to handle postal codes of Brazil. |
6-digit at end of line |
Select to enable the address block to handle postal codes with 6 digits at the end of the line. |
3-digit at end of line |
Select to enable the address block to handle postal codes with 3 digits at the end of the line. |

Select to enable the address block to handle postal codes with 2 digits at the end of the line. |

Available Fields |
Lists the available input fields, which are determined by the fields available in the table. |
Clear |
Clears the Selected Fields list of all fields. |
Add |
Adds the field selected in the Available Fields list to the Selected Fields list. |
Add Nearby Fields |
Add fields adjacent to the selected input field to the Selected Fields list, if multiple character fields were necessary to extract the address information (using a single memo field capturing the entire address block text is the preferred method). |
Remove |
Removes the highlighted field from the Selected Fields list. |
Selected Fields |
Lists the available fields that will be used in the process of extracting the address information. |

Description |
Address line 1 |
Outputs the first line of data extracted from the input information. |
Address line 2 |
Outputs the second line of data extracted from the input information, provided it is not recognized as a City, Region or Postal Code. |
Address line 3 |
Outputs the third line of data extracted from the input information, provided it is not recognized as a City, Region or Postal Code. |
Address line 4 |
Outputs the fourth line of data extracted from the input information, provided it is not recognized as a City, Region or Postal Code. |
Address line 5 |
Outputs the fifth line of data extracted from the input information, provided it is not recognized as a City, Region or Postal Code. |
Address line 6 |
Outputs the sixth line of data extracted from the input information, provided it is not recognized as a City, Region or Postal Code. |
City |
Outputs the City name extracted from the input information. |
Region |
Outputs the Region name (State, County, etc) extracted from the input information. |
Postal Code |
Outputs the Postal Code extracted from the input information. |
Country |
Outputs the Country name extracted from the input information. |
Error Code |
Outputs the error code, if any are generated by the Address Block engine when parsing the input information. See Using Address Blocks for more information on Address Block error codes. |
Prefix For Default Names |
Enter a default field name prefix to be applied to all of the output fields. If you don’t change the field name prefix, the Address Block wizard automatically assigns the prefix to be the name of the Address Block. Field names are created by default, based upon their item name, e.g. The address line 1 of an Address Block called "Test" would be TestLine1. |
Clear |
Click to clear the field names displayed under the Output Field Name heading. |
